The 23rd Board meeting of the Nigerian Journal of Technological Research held as follows:

After the meeting, the board members paid a courtesy visit on the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. M.A. Akanji. Improving the services of NJTR and completing the academic publishing center were extensively discussed.

(A) INSTRUCTION TO CONTRIBUTORS/AUTHORS.
The Federal University of Technology, Minna, Nigera has among its objectives, the promotion of excellence in multi – disciplinary research and teaching in pure and applied sciences, science/technological education, information technology, engineering, environmental and agricultural technology. In pursuance of this objective, NJTR encourages scholarly articles that are theoretical, practical, empirical or clinically oriented in science and technological disciplines. Full scholarly and well written papers/ short communications are acceptable.
(B) SUBMISSION OF MANUSCRIPTS.
1. All manuscripts should be written in English Language.
2. Typed on double spaced A4 paper or 8.5x11.7” (21x29.5cm).
3. Papers should be submitted through the Author section at www.njtr.org
4. Manuscripts should not exceed 15 pages.
5. The writing style should conform with the American Psychological Association (APA) format 5 th Edition (2001).
6. Every paper should have an abstract of not more than 200 words and directly below the abstract, should have a list of 3 – 5 keywords which precisely express the contents of the paper. The keywords will be used for indexing purposes.
7. References should be in the style: Title of paper, year, volume and page of publication; authors should be properly referenced.
8. The cover page of the paper should bear only the title of the paper, name(s) of author, affiliations and the addresses of author(s).
9. Neither the Editorial board nor any of the editors will be liable for any article lost in transit. All statements in the published manuscripts are the responsibility of the authors.
10. All submissions will be peer reviewed. Only papers that have not been published and are not currently under review for publication elsewhere should be submitted.
11. Subscription and advertisement rates can be obtained from the editor – in – chief office or via email to editor@njtr.org .
12. In line with transparency and documentation, authors are encouraged to avail themselves with ICT facilities. Consequently, prospective authors are required to visit the Journal website ( www.njtr.org ) and complete the NJTR data form, along side the electronic submission of manuscripts.
(C) DEADLINES
The journal is published twice a year in June and December. Submission of July edition should be made not later than January 31 st of each year, while that of December should not be later than July 31 st of the same year.
