Aim and Scope

NJTR is the official journal of the Federal University of Technology, Minna, Nigeria


Aim
In pursuance of The Act establishing the Federal University of Technology Minna, as a special skilled institution to train skilled manpower and job creators; as different from job seekers, it sort to provide a forum through which products of positive results of this mandate can be presented to the public and other research/science focused institutions. Similarly, it sorts to provide materials that will translate major research findings (not only within the University) to industries and competitive users who will require a proactive technological approach to technical problem solving. Hence, the University administration floated a Journal to actualize these objectives in 1989.
NJTR publishes papers describing advances in the understanding of the interdisciplinary science of technology. This includes reports of experimental investigations, computational studies, and theoretical/statistical studies. It appeals to the broad interdisciplinary community, including physics, chemistry, biology, engineering, agricultural science, environmental science, materials science, etc.

Scope
Articles submitted should cover the following area of focus of the Journal:
•  Agricultural Sciences
•  Engineering Sciences
•  Environmental Sciences
•  Entrepreneurship and Management Technology
•  Information and Communication Technology
•  Pure and Applied Sciences.

  • Regular articles.
  • Colloquia.
  • Short communication.
  • Reviews.

Colloquia describe the development of new areas of research or the impact of new and promising experimental or theoretical methods in the fields that are within the spectrum of topics covered by the journal. While not as extensive and complete as reviews in the usual sense, they are intended to suitably introduce new research directions and techniques in their early stages of development, and to a wider audience. There is no explicit constraint regarding the length of such manuscripts, although 20 printed pages would be the most usual length. All invited/submitted manuscripts will undergo the same refereeing procedure as all other contributions submitted to the journal.

Nigerian Journal of Technological Research (NJTR) is an arm of the Office of the Vice Chancellor. It is located at the heart of the Bosso Campus of the Federal University of Technology, Minna, Nigeria.

It is a goal of the Federal University of Technology, Minna to work beyond the walls of its campus. One of the most effective ways of doing this is to offer our facilities to those who are pursuing knowledge, truth and understanding.

It is essential to recognise today social, charitable and personal contributions which have had a substantial and long-lasting impact on the well-being of what are commonly referred to as 'these islands'.

Sport is a unifying force - it brings together parishes, counties, provinces and the nation in support of a common cause and helps to boost national morale and raise the international profile of our country. It is therefore eminently appropriate that this university should recognise and honour those who epitomise the finest virtues of sport and who have contributed substantially to the enhancement of Ireland's sporting heritage.
